At QRO Solutions we are committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050 and prompted by the rising energy costs and our Social Value commitments, we have recently reviewed our carbon footprint.
One of the first changes QRO made towards Net Zero and greener working practices was to install smart plugs within the office. These innovative devices ensure all our standby equipment is fully powered down outside of business hours. A small change, but an important step towards a greener future alongside the other carbon reduction initiatives QRO Solutions have encouraged; virtual meetings, working from home and re-location of some field support staff to reduce travel to our customers sites. Further research is also being carried out into salary sacrifice schemes to encourage the use of electric vehicles by staff and other renewable energy options.
We project that our carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years from 89.19 to 70.74 tCO2e, which is a reduction of 20%! Progress towards this can be viewed in the graph provided.
