The principal roles of a QUAD system are as follows:
- Centralised management of target vehicle lists, including import, ad-hoc maintenance, automatic weeding and distribution to live ANPR systems.
- Centralised access to vehicle movement records for intelligence and analysis.
- Centralised security management, including configuration of user permissions and checking security audit log records.
- Centralised ANPR system configuration.
In parallel with these core features, the QUAD systems may additionally be used as ANPR communications servers, allowing the following additional features:
- On line checking of vehicles when a remote system is able to communicate directly via local area networking or via wide area communications such as GPRS or more conventional dial up remote access.
- On line synchronisation of local target lists on remote or local ANPR systems that are able to communicate directly via local area networking or via wide area communications such as RAS or GPRS.
The QUAD product will offer the following specific features in the future:
- Web-based Interface for Management of ANPR Target Vehicle Databases.
- Automatic Distribution of Target Vehicle Databases to ANPR systems.
- Feedback of Target Vehicle Record Changes from ANPR Systems to Central System.
- Advanced Automatic Weeding and Target Vehicle Status Management. Target vehicles which have been active for longer than a configurable period of time, will automatically enter a 'removal pending' state. While in this state, target vehicles will remain as editable records on the QUAD System but will no longer generate alerts on live ANPR systems.
- E-mail Notification of Target Matches from Centralised ANPR System
- Web-based Interface for Analysis and Management of ANPR Movement Records.
- Browsing Upon GPS Location Using Preset Locations.
- Permission Sensitive Display of Alert Messages During Vehicle Movement Browsing.
- Web-based Interface for Security Management.
- User Groups and the Definition of Group Based Privileges.
- Centralised Audit Log for All System Components.
- Central Modification of ANPR Settings for all Operation ANPR Systems.
- Synchronisation of ANPR Settings Changes on ANPR System with a Central Location.
