The current version of the Check-IT ANPR Engine supports the following features:

  • Integration of ANPR Engine: Has native support for preferred ANPR engine uses direct integration for rapid and efficient notification of results. Supports up to four camera inputs. Supports USB or PCI based video acquisition interfaces. Includes multi-national recognition with identification of nationality.
  • Target Vehicle List Checking. The system supports up to 60 separate target vehicle databases. A single target vehicle database is capable of holding up to 10 million vehicle records. A single system may be configured with several target vehicle databases having a combined record count of up 20 million vehicles. Vehicle checks on the databases are usually completed within 1 second. Individual target vehicle records can hold information up to 65,000 characters long.
  • Target Vehicle Database Preparation. Target vehicles are prepared into an application specific data structure, which allows rapid vehicle checking while not compromising data import speed. The system takes less than 1 minute to import a 1 million vehicle target database file.
  • Ease of use. The system has been designed with non-technical operators in mind. QRO Check-IT Systems can be deployed for basic ANPR use with very little training.
  • Login / Password Security. Access to the system is controlled by user login name and password entry. There is advanced support for user permissions which may be customised by administrators to ensure that systems are tamper proof and privileged data is not accessible. The list of features which may be protected using the security system is comprehensive.
  • Audit Log. The system records all security sensitive user actions in an audit log for later viewing and analysis. All actions are recorded in a secure audit trail with data and time.
  • Remote List Checking and Centralised Target List Management. Feature that uses Check-IT communications to send vehicles to a central system for checking. Any alerts that occur may be displayed on the central system, but may also be communicated back to the remote ANPR source. The option to send back alerts is configured on the central system so that covert 'server-only' target databases may exist alongside normal target lists. There is also the option to have the central system fetch back any unsent images over communications in the event of an alert.
  • Integration with Home Office Spectrum ANPR Back-Office. The system supports the interface to the Spectrum BOF for the purposes of vehicle movement submission and fast-track checking. The system can also be configured to accept target list updates from the Spectrum system. This interface supports both the Filex and Scarab communications interfaces.
  • Integration with PNC fast-track. The system supports the checking of vehicles on the PNC fast-track system either via the third party NDI interface or via the Spectrum system used in England and Wales. Where a reply is received from a fast-track check, the system shows the alert details with the make, model, type and colour of the vehicle in question.
